Nintendo has announced that they're cutting you off next year. No more Wii U and 3DS games for you! At least not from the eShop. Considering how many games you have to sort through on those systems, we figured the least we could do to help would be to gab for a while about the best games—the ones you should download while you still can. Joining me this week are Chris Kohler (you know him) and Eric Caoili (you probably know his site, Tiny Cartridge; if not, what!?) to offer whatever meager support we can muster for Wii U before unleashing a torrent of 3DS advice.

That's torrent as in water, haha, not as in bits. We would never.

Been getting back into the 3DS recently after finally getting a system with capture card output! Can't wait to hear your picks!

I remember seeing Project X Zone advertised in the eShop and thinking "Why are Ryo Hazuki from Shenmue and Phoenix Wright in the same game?" Thanks for elaborating on the title.

I kept waiting for Castlevania to get brought up, then I remembered the only game in the series on 3DS was Mirror of Fate. The total lack of any good Castlevania games for the 3DS is something that the DS will always have over it for me.

I enjoyed Project X Zone 1 a whole lot simply for the fan service in terms of "What if the Tekken, Virtua Fighter, and Street Fighter characters all met and got into an argument over who was best?" Gameplay is rather simplistic, and the game took me 80 hours total to beat, but I had fun along the way. It's the perfect game to play in 20 minute chunks since you can pass a single level in about that time. There's also something just hilarious about seeing the Dynamite Dekka fake Bruce Willis (who looks exactly like Die Hard era Bruce Willis) showing up and interacting with the Tales Of characters.

I really enjoyed this kind of episode and hope for more. I didn't know Nintendo was doing this, and the discussion has helped me consider what gaming decisions I want to make before they close the WiiU and 3DS stores. Thank you!

I HAVE to speak up for Picross 3d. I adore those games and I'm sad that we aren't getting them anymore.

I think Jeremy is wrong, the 3DS can be CFW'ed to circumvent the region lock. Been there done that ;-) I hate being stuck in EUR sometimes... And that firmware also allows for screenshots!!

+1 for the 'Attack of the Friday Monsters' mention.

Great list! A few more that are worth mentioning: Wii U – Affordable Space Adventures (best use of gamepad?) – Game & Wario (is fun—don't hate!) 3DS – Kokuga (wonderful little action game from G. Rev, directed by former Treasure guy Hiroshi Iuchi) – Picross 3D: Round 2 (works so well on the touch screen!)

I listened to this episode just in time, Atlus is having a sale that ends tomorrow so all the Etrian and Persona Q games are super cheap! (< $10) This episode inspired me to make a few purchases: Etrian Odyssey IV, Attack of the Friday Monsters, Sonic Generations, and Rusty's Real Deal Baseball.

Oh and I went to Nintendo's eshop site and it doesn't even MENTION the Wii U!

I seconded Affordable Space Adventures! Such a great game. And I'm sure it will stay exclusive to the Wii U, sadly.
