Hello, supporters, hope you don't mind my doing something a bit different from the usual this week. I had planned to use last week's E3 event as an opportunity to meet up with friends and take stock of how things were looking on the retrogaming front, but... E3 demonstrated a decided lack of all things retrogaming. Sure, you had some indies like Bloodstained (a clear and obvious Castlevania clone) and Flint Hook, but products like last year's Rare Replay and Mega Man Legacy Collection were nowhere to be found. I ended up leaving the show empty-handed, much to my disappointment.

Instead, I decided to dust off a podcast episode I've had sitting on my hard drive for nearly a year. It's not quite Retronauts, and at more than an hour long it's definitely not Micro, but it's focused on classic games. Good enough, maybe?

The idea behind this particular relic was that it was to serve as the pilot for a monthly podcast to supplement my Game Boy World project. I recruited fellow Game Boy devotee Bryan Ochalla  to complement my obsessive, johnny-come-lately approach to the platform with his lifelong affection and random, as-you-like-it perspective. The episode turned out pretty well, but 10 months later I have never quite found a place for it. And, honestly, I realized shortly after that committing to another podcast was a pretty terrible idea.

So, anyway, I hope you don't find this episode too lazy or self-indulgent. It wasn't what I had lined up for this week, but it is, I hope, interesting nevertheless... even if it's not quite Retronauts. — Jeremy

This was really good, and if this was an occasional podcast I'd listen :)
