Not particularly early, I realize. Alas.

Anyway, here it is: The most recent episode. It's a look at a personal favorite, Namco's Rolling Thunder. Given the praise Bob's music episodes have received, I've made a conscious effort to spend more time here on the series' great music... something I've been a bit gunshy about to avoid stepping on Ray Barnholt's toes too much (remember 1UP's The Sound Test?). But the people demand what they demand! Hope you enjoy it.

And I'll make up for this episode's tardiness by posting the next episode early. Thanks for your patience...

yah, I like the interlaced music and dialog episodes. this was good. I've never heard of this game but it sounds interesting.

Just picked up the Tengen port of this today, seems pretty authentic so far (aside from the henchmen being off color). Still dumb hard, but seriously great music.

The Famicom version of Rolling Thunder has even better music! It used a custom Namco mapper chip. Check it out if you ever have the chance, it sounds amazing.

One of my favorite OSTs...part 2 is even a bit better. But that first 8 bars for the intro of the level is so iconic. Nice ep.

I got super sad seeing this was a micro episode. You guys should totes do a regular episode discussing Rolling Thunder, Elevator Action and similar games.
