The odd round rocket launcher is 'hedge hog' anti submarine weapon that launches a circle of explosives that sink into the water then explode, sort of a marine 'cluster munition' invented during the later years of WW2 for anti submarine warfare against both the Germans the Japanese submarines of that time. Its a way to create a Russian cluster munition system, in a crude way as the aiming is fairly loose and the delivery distance is adjusted by the tilt of the launcher barrels in unison. Its a genius idea from a apparachnik in the Russian Military responding to a Putin demand that WE MUST HAVE OUR OWN CLUSTER ARTILLERY SHELLS.
