Smart move, but it would be a far wiser move militarily to promote the precocious and entirely capable Adam Kadyrov to Field Marshall over all Chechyen forces deployed in Ukraine. Within a very short time their deployment would end and they could be shipped back to their native country.

At the beginning of the war , turkey sent those drones forgot the name. Anyway they mounted a high caliber weapon like a machine gun . They mowed down the Russians better than dropping high explosives. Why do they never use this approach anymore?

Those were Bayraktar TB2 drones, medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) UAV. They're the size of a small airplane, with a payload capacity of 150 kg. That makes them ideal for carrying ordnance which can damage or sink a warship, but overkill for infantry support. Because of their size, they can be detected much more easily by air defense systems than a tiny drone and therefore can be shot down if the enemy has decent air defenses. They cost a lot: $5M to $6M each, so when one is shot down, it's a big loss. They need a runway to take off and land. There was a limited number of them that Turkey had in inventory and could supply at the start of the war. Producing more takes a lot of time, comparatively speaking. The FPV drones which carry a mortar or drop a grenade cost $700. So you can have 7'000+ small drones for the price of one TB2. The grenades can be dropped on individual soldiers. When the ones with bigger rounds are flown into the right spot in a one-way mission, they can even destroy a fighting vehicle or tank. They can be carried by infantry and launched from anywhere by hand. They can hover as well as fly around. In spite of the smaller payloads and shorter loitering times, they're superior for infantry support.
