**Update**

Idalia was all but a non-event here in central Florida.  This far inland all we've gotten is a lot of rain and tropical storm force wind gusts....nothing to write home about.  I went to bed at 2am fully expecting the power to be out when I got up at 10am, but....nope.  We're still under a Tropical Storm Warning, but that will probably be lifted some time this evening.  Otherwise, just a bunch of little tree limbs to pick up after the rain stops.

Sunny with a slight chance of hurricanes.

Welcome to Florida.

Unlike last years Hurricane Ian and Irma back in 2017, this storm will probably only be a Category One when it arrives over the state on Tuesday.  This far inland (I'm 30 miles northwest of Orlando) a Cat 1 will (usually) only be a rainmaker with a chance of power outages.

I've already got plenty of the usual provisioning...food, gas, etc.  Just need to go get some Clamato and vodka for the traditional Hurricane Bloody Mary.  :D

With that said, keeping my air conditioner outage two weeks ago in mind, I have already scheduled this coming week's posts in advance.  Likewise, barring this storm deciding to get grumpy, the monthly updates coming next weekend shouldn't be effected.

Well now that the AC is fixed let's hope that all you have to do is stay inside for a bit. Best of luck to ya. Stay safe and be careful.

Well, there's no such thing as storm 'proof', just storm 'resistant'. Construction standards here (since 1992 or so) are much higher than most other states. A little storm that might cause a billion $$ in damage up in the northeast....we don't even close the schools for.

LMFAO, yep that's the attitude to have. Stay safe my friend. Type at ya after it's over.
