I meant to get this done two weeks ago, but...yeah, you know...life and whatnot.  Sorry, Betty.

Betty is the oldest animated female character, first in appearing in Fleischer Studios animated classic "Dizzy Dishes" on August 9, 1930.  Originally debuting as an anthropomorphic French poodle, by 1932's "Any Rags?" Max Fleirscher (due in part to a lot of pleading, begging, and brow-beating by his in-house animators) saw fit to forever establish her as a human character.
