To end yet another dismal year on a positive note...8k for everyone!  :D

Polar Bear Plunges are usually held on New Years Day in the northern U.S. and Canada.  Laughably, we do actually have plunges down her in Florida, but with water temperatures ranging from 60°F to 80°F (depending upon what part of the state you're in) it's hardly the freezing or near-freezing stuff they jump into up north.  Given the choice, however, I choose to NOT succumb to the effects of hypothermia, thank you very much.

Not to mention the fact that hypothermia is only one issue, for a Floridian, jumping in water up north could even cause a heart seizure. But then again seeing those three naked in a pool could also cause a heart seizure. But at least with the latter you won't be freezing your butt off when you go to the hospital.
