With a body like that she could have any man (or woman) in Springfield she wanted.  So, what in the hell does she see in the imbecilic, follicly challenged, lump of Play-Doh that is her husband?

Well, the answer is simple:  He's a nuclear safety engineer.  The show said (way back in season 7) that he only makes $11.99 per hour, or $24,395 per year ($36k after adjusting for inflation).  The current average annual salary in that field is actually $75,000, capping out as high as $173,000.  He's been in that field for 30+ years, so he ain't at the low end of the spreadsheet.

Let's put it another way....that giant red string of pearls she wears.  Assuming they're real, those are $2000-3000...per pearl.  Yeah, she ain't doin' him for his boyish good looks, charm, and whit.
