Dexter, ever the diligent scientist, is hard at work doing 'research' for an upcoming project.  His mother, always the ever-diligent mom, supports her son in whatever way she can...even if it requires losing a little sleep.

Mom: Dexter dear, it's three o'clock in the morning.  Don't you think...
Dexter: I'm well aware of how a clock functions, mother.  Now, be silent so I can concentrate.
Mom: You've been going at it for five hours straight, dear.  Maybe you're just a little tired.
Dexter: Oh, this incessant whining!  I don't know who is worse, you or Dee Dee?
Mom: Dee Dee would've gotten bored and gone to bed a long time ago.
Dexter: Touche'.
Mom: Why don't you get some sleep and we'll start fresh in the morning.  I'll make pancakes!
