Down here in the southeastern U.S. parents only have to worry about kids sitting around the house with nothing to do on 'teacher work days' and the occasional hurricane.  Up in northern latitudes however...

Ann: C'mon kids, you're gonna be late for school again!  Don't forget your coats, it's gonna be a cold one.

Ann: Nevermind, kids...they cancelled school today.
Jim and Tim: Yaaay!
Kim: (looong sigh) I'll get the condoms and lube.
