Hello brains!

This is Edward – Jessica is wrapping up her final day at the YouTube training camp – which, if you hadn't heard, is part of winning the Youtube NextUp program.

It has been a CRAZY week for her, full of classes for 10+ hours every day on lighting, shooting, sound, editing, everything!  I got to stop by the place yesterday to help out with the shoot for her project (each creator would make a small video using the other people on their team).

Jess had a great idea to talk with her teammates about what they know about ADHD and how they think it should be handled, and with the little she had left today, she did the first rough cut of the video (which is what I've linked to here).

This is JUST a rough cut – she's going to finish the final version this weekend once she gets back home.  But it's a great look at what the final product will be like, and what the average person knows about ADHD.

More to come!

Edward

P.S. Just a quick addition, Jess let me know that this cut technically has some glitches in it.  As I said, it's just a rough, so any awkward cuts will be smoothed out in the final version.  Yay for behind the scenes!

I liked the question you were asked, and your right it is a good question. Then when you talked about being alone with your thoughts, I am there with you. I am impulsivity which causes my issues. But the 3 camera angles is going to you more options and help with the effect. I think you are going to have a lot more interesting video's, but it might take longer to put together at first. I cannot wait to see the interviews.

Thank you for the support! I'm pretty nervous about creating new/different content but also very excited! There were a lot more questions to go through, this is just a sneak peek :D can't wait to get home tomorrow and finish editing!!!

That raw emotion of you thinking about happiness is incredibly powerful. It was touching to see the genuine concern for your well-being in the expression of the person who asked the question.

I'm looking forward to the whole interview! And I really recognised what you told about how hard it is to be alone with your thoughts and stay happy. I can't help feeling relieved that I'm not the only one who experiences this, even though I find that a kind of selfish of me..

Me too! I get depressed and sad if I'm alone for too long... unless I have something exciting coming up soon or I recently did something highly stimulating that I can think about. It's wonderful to finally meet people who can relate to my "invisible" challenges! (from Inattentive ADHD)
