This is honestly something that complicated my journey greatly, and that life-long depression is ALSO comorbidity to my ADHD didn't help matters. It seems that my entire teenage and adult life only depression was addressed by my doctors and therapists, and it masked what in my opinion was the main player, ADHD-PI. Perhaps some of it falls on me for not communicating it better, but I honestly didn't know what the hell was wrong with me, and decades of therapy and depression medication did honestly did absolutely nothing to help me.I often feel very angry that no one in all those years ever considered that maybe there was something else wrong. I was finally diagnosed with ADHD in my mid-forties, by which time some of the damage that has happened I will live with for the rest of my life.
