What's up with the "Confirm Your Subscription" email? (Monthly Patreon Newsletter Mishap) (Patreon)

Hi Everyone!,

A lot of you may have just received an email asking you to confirm your subscription to How To ADHD and since you didn't click on anything, you're probably wondering what the heck is going on! First, let me start by saying it's not a scam. It was however an accident so we apologize.

Here's what happened...

Tomorrow, the first edition of the Monthly Newsletter for Patrons is going to be released. Some of you indicated a desire to have a copy of the newsletter in your actual email inbox, others wanted a PDF, and others would prefer for it to just remain here on Patreon because email overwhelm is definitely a thing!

In an effort to try and accommodate everyone, we connected Patreon with Mailchimp to begin testing and working on an opt-in option for those who would like to receive the newsletter separately. However, we didn't realize that pretty much all of you would receive an automated confirmation email. Oops, sorry about that! 

Don't worry, if you did hit confirm, it didn't actually subscribe you to anything.

Apologies again for any confusion or additional email overwhelm caused! Keep an eye out for the post tomorrow containing the first Monthly Newsletter (and the option to opt-in via email if you'd like to)! We're really excited to share it with you!
