Thank you for this video, Jessica! I got out of a job I hated several months ago but not sure where to go next. What you’re saying resonates with me. It’s good food for thought.

I never thought about FOMO as thinking that there could be something better to do (more as “my friends are going out, why am I not”), but I realize that I’m doing a bit of that with my college apps! I have a pretty clear idea of what I want to do, but I’m having a hard time deciding where I want to go. I think I’m going to try thinking less about what I’ll miss (hint: snow) and more about what I’ll gain (getting to talk to others who also really care about math the way I do. Thanks for the video!!

Lordy, the TIMING on this one... This dovetails perfectly with the conversation I just had (literally a few minutes ago) with my therapist about anxiety getting in the way of life advancement.

Oh man- I am so bad at the "guessing" thing - I used to beat myself up for guessing wrong. But it really wasn't wrong. I've learned to embrace that I can't do it all, see it all, or be "right" all the time. Life is a series of experiences. Some are good and some are not- but we keep learning from those experiences. For me- I'm always looking to learn from life- people, relationships, spiritual value... it's all what makes learn & thus we have value to ourselves and others.
