I saw a longer interview Jessica did on someone else’s YouTube channel where she told this story and I loved it so much I wish it had it into the book but you did one better and made it into its own YouTube video and highlighted the questions and also gave suggestions for the many times when we get stuck trying “what should help” and don’t know what would help - yet! Thank you thank you!

I was frequently late to meetings—or I would miss them entirely. Even though I work on a computer and have a digital calendar that sends reminders, I still couldn't seem to keep it straight. Sometimes I would just lose track of time. Other days, I had somehow convinced myself the meeting was at a different time, or I had forgotten what day of the week it was. My "stapler" was to join meetings early... often "obscenely" early. If it's a Zoom meeting, that's really easy. I just join the empty meeting, continue working, and I realize the meeting has started once voices start coming out of my computer. My coworkers know not to be concerned when they get an email notice that I've joined the call hours before the scheduled time. For in-person meetings, if the room is available, I'll bring my laptop and backpack to set up shop at the meeting location. Watching this video reminded me of how grateful I am for my workplace environment. These are, word for word, the exact questions that my boss asked me when we talked about this issue.
