I absolutely didn’t expect this but river makes a LOT of good points and I definitely feel for them, I really hope things turn out for both of them and they can have fun doing this together and get paid doing it 😅 EDIT: I didn’t notice it because I’m a goob but in panel 6 (I think I did that right 😬), I don’t think I’ve ever seen cooper look more handsome and attractive! The hairstyle is very flattering on our smelly boi!

I really like how this conversation is flowing naturally. River is being pragmatic, but they're also illustrating how Cooper and they are kindred spirits in terms of being "outsiders." They really do have a good rapport, and it's nice to see Cooper laughing. I'm so ready to see this Dancing Dynamic Duo in action!

I feel for River here. They are quite in the odd in between. Though it's intriguing, as a club-goer, I don't think I would discern the difference between male and female. I'd be in the moment It's intriguing though the dynamic as well, along with other coeds or coworkers? Can't make friends or even acquaintances with everyone.

So, one could say Coop and River are indeed a couple, a professional couple. Nothing intimate and nothing romantic, but by working together they may go further then they would individually. They would have each others backs. And it's also nice to have someone you can trust and count on, even outside of work. Plus, yes retail sucks!

I wish Cooper and River would see they're clearly getting swindled by Fletcher and just find new jobs. They're jumping through a lot of hoops for a chance at something that's probably not going to come to fruition.
