In Tsugaru Shamisen tuning, not only is the pitch of the strings adjusted, but also the unique overtones and vibration of the Shamisen, called Sawari, are added. By adding Sawari, the sound stretches. This Sawari is attached to the shamisen below the upper part of the first string, but if you can adjust it properly to the first string, the overtones and vibration will come out beautifully on the other strings as well. Let’s make a beautiful sound by attaching the Sawari correctly.

この動画では「サワリ」について説明しています。

津軽三味線では、調絃をする時に音程を合わすだけでなく、三味線特有のビーンとした倍音をつけます。サワリをつける事により音が長く鳴るようになります。

このサワリは一の糸だけについていますが、しっかり一の糸でサワリをつける事ができると他の糸でも綺麗に倍音がつきます。正しくサワリをつけて綺麗な音を鳴らしましょう。
