The real highlights music-wise this episode were the Mercedes performance as well as the David and Santana duet. I also liked Santana's scenes in this episode. Maybe it is just me but because this episode is teacher focused this episode is one I often skip when I'm rewatching Glee or skip to the scenes/performances I like in this episode. The teacher focused episodes are often very skippable to me so it is good we only have a few teacher focused episodes throughout the series. The focus on the students is always better. To me this episode is one of the few "filler" episodes this season.

Gemma Rivera

I feel that this is definitely mostly a filler episode as well, but I did enjoy the david/santana duet. I feel like this episode did a couple of things character wise to soften two of the hardest characters of the series and add layers to their character. First Sue, meeting her match in Roz Washington (who is one of my favorite new additions to the cast). It allowed for a softer side of Sue to emerge and I really started to like her friendship with Becky much more after this. Second Santana from here the tone of her snark changed for me to more of a voice of reason. I noticed that after this, they would use Santana as a way of pointing out truths and getting characters to face the things that they either weren't seeing or ignoring. Jane Lynch and Naya Rivera played both of these characters to perfection and I was glad to see them expand both of them beyond the one-dimensional villains that they were initially introduced as.

Finn's body roll during the Sexy And I Know It number is one of the funniest thing I've seen on this show.
