"The river runs around the house like it is protected by some sort of invisible barrier. Perhaps a mage lives here, or perhaps it is a prime example of the wonders of nature itself...'. With a quizzical look, your father holds his chin in confusion, as the boat passes around it. Just as your sister begins to reply, you hear 'SHH!' from the captain, as he begins to row more slowly. 'I think we are being watched', he said, without turning his head to look. Then he starts to row faster, and turns his head back to us quicker than I thought possible. 'Ready your bows! We are under attack!' just as a volley of arrows narrowly miss his head."

I love the lighting and the artistry, but maybe a house could have more of a functional kitchen and either privy or outhouse, and a bit less storage? The storage would be perfect for a fortification, but I'm not sure it's necessary for a small house.

Ah yes, I'll start introducing some cooking areas. I intended for this one to be cooking with the open fire, and the storage rooms are for food and materials :)
