Over the last few years I have settled on an artistic philosophy that guides my work. Several years ago I began to notice that a lot of erotic art (2D & 3D) appeared to be designed by men for the consumption of men. The women featured were strictly objects, never subjects. In addition then were frequently depicted in demeaning or degrading ways. Over time this started to bother me. I am a man, but I'm also a feminist. I decided that I wanted my art to be consistent with my principles. I started with the goal of making erotic art for the consumption of men and women. I wanted the women in my art to be subjects and not mere objects. I wanted to avoid depictions that were demeaning or degrading to women. You've surely noticed that BDSM is a prominent theme of my work. This made me be especially careful. My work features a heavy dose of strong and empowered women. The stories are written from the perspective of the submissive. I do this because I believe that choosing to be a submissive does not make a person an object. There is power in surrender; and I try to capture this by writing from the submissives perspective. I try to be very careful with the level and type of violence. Although I am not a submissive I try to imagine the level and type of violence a submissive would realistically choose, and what would be seen as harmful or a violation. Because I am not a submissive and can err in judgment, I try to stay well behind the line. I hope this helps you understand why I create the type of art I do.
