Artwork of Lady Keena I had done.

Anyway, I saw the poll. Saw that you all are pretty much fine with us carrying on how we've been carrying on and I'm pretty all right with that.

On the big stuff.

So, preliminary doctor's reports are in. Family meeting happened. (My kids are all adults, the youngest is 25) I'd already pretty much given up my truck, just driving it now and then.

Looks like I'm definitely retiring.

The nerve conduction tests and other ortho checks have shown that there's just been too much damage over the years to the physical structure. I can't do the work I prefer or, when you get right down to it, drive that much any more. I can't lift my arms over my shoulders correctly any more. My range of motion is compromised, and the numbness and tingling is likely to be permanent. Which means physical therapy hopes to mitigate the worst of it. No drugs, beyond ibuprophen when it swells up bad enough to cause problems.

On the writing side, it looks like everything will be fine. So, my retirement is basically just going to be me continuing to write.

The family prefers me writing anyway.

The good stuff, is that my heart and other internal organs are in good shape. My blood work is really good for a man over fifty that eats like a garbage disposal and never really took care of himself. No cancer or anything like that.

Just old injuries bothering me and the fact I didn't really take care of myself that well.

So, the writing will continue until morale improves.

I finally got something figured on the hardback and paperback front, so that's a good thing.

Cover artwork for Book VII is underway. Editing is doing good, so we're on track there.

But, I hope this message finds everyone well.

I’m sorry dude. Coming face to face with biological limitations is never fun. I’m glad the rest of you is OK, and you’ve got family around to cheer for you, and that you can keep cranking out prose for us addicts.
