Hell yeah. Recently, two separate friend-groups independently began to wonder why that cyan-to-teal or blue-green range is so often used to represent “ghostliness” or necromancy, especially in the form of blue-green fire. One of them, I believe, got to the bottom of it - we traced it back as far as the Disney movie Fantasia (not to say that’s the origin, though Disney has since used it in several other films including Hades’ hair in Hercules). At some point it occurred to me to find a photo of fire and invert the colors in photoshop, and sure enough… so I wonder if someone saw fire in a photo-negative and thought it was spooky? TL;DR, ghostfire could be cyan because it’s an inversion of fire, which may be a metaphor for “unnatural” or something.

i know you were debating making the ghost effect orange to match the orange candy - did you run a test in that color too?
