I'm already having some repetitive strain symptoms. Using ice and heat and stretching. Now that I'm at a better place with the animation I'll try to take breaks again. Took a couple hours to relax tonight and will tomorrow afternoon to meal prep.

I don't think the camera movement is working at the end.

I should redo the intro to use the Arnold renderer first and then block in the 4 sections. Purple one eyed tentacle monster is first then Vampire, ghost, and dinosaur monster.

Breaks are good. Don't burn out :P The blue tentacles remind me of "Perfect" from Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Is the field of view final? It seems a bit extreme as you’re climbing the staircase, though on the other hand I can see how it “pulls in” at the end so that looks intentional, and it does let you see more of the world. First person games that let you choose your FOV on a slider but don’t tell you if it’s vertical or horizontal have desensitized me a bit regardless.

Post more vlogs if you end up in the mood. Always fun to see the thought process :D

Yeah it's intentional for the zoom into the mouth if the clown. I like it up the stairs for style (do you not like it? That's good if you dont) but once it gets to the landing I feel it doesn't work and then I've animated it to match my camera lense and that looks weird.

I think I get what you’re going for since the wide angle makes the edges sort of “spin” along the spiral staircase. I hate to say I like it if that means it’s bad, but I kind of do like it if your goal was to increase the sort of carousel-ness of it. It’s trippy.

I'm just saying it's ok to not like something. I have liked something but then once I get distance I come back and realize it was the wrong choice and having other sets of eyes and ears helps a lot but sometimes people don't want to be critical.

Ah, I gotcha. But yeah, I played Vermintide 2 for almost as many years as it’s been out with my FOV accidentally set to 105 vertical rather than horizontal (way too high without an ultrawide or multi-monitor setup) so this isn’t giving me motion sickness or anything - but I think usually that would be the opposite issue - too narrow FOV - that causes that feeling anyway. And like I said, in retrospect I think this has the effect you were probably going for of being kind of hallucinogenic or nightmarish, especially with the carnival theme. And I promise I’m not just saying that to defer to you!
