I spent all today improving on the animation for the native art video. It's looking a lot better :) it wasn't finished rendering though.

Tomorrow I either want to figure out how to increase the resolution on the earth's surface or pan the camera out because the wide shot looks really nice. But I don't want to spend a lot more time on it.

I added a planet atmosphere, improved the fall out of the composite texture, and the moon surface. I also changed the background so the stars would have some movement.

I also purchased a membership to an audio/video stock website where I got the thunder sounds.

I need to find the most recent carnival files. I have to start the storyboard for that.

Wow! Impressive.

This is great! Is the planet from a free 3d model directory or did you texture it yourself?

I did it myself following a tutorial a long time ago and upgraded/repurposed it.

Looks good! Sounds like you want to move on from it, but if you're gonna tweak it at all, I'd suggest having the initial zoom-in land centered on the Galveston landmark icon instead of a nonconsequential part of the US and then panning down. And then you can just have it pan with the dots as they move across the water. I think the visuals already look really impressive. So I'd focus more on tightening up the camera movements with the story you're telling if possible. Looks good overall though!

I appreciate this feedback and please keep offering it. For this animation unfortunately I've done all I can do today and I didn't change the camera much because I'm struggling with curve animation. I think if I changed that I could introduce other issues. I guess it's to show she's coming from Toronto. I changed the timing a bit but it'll have the same issues. I'll show you when it's done rendering. I gotta wrap it up for today my back is mad.
