Hey so... (Patreon)

You may be able to notice that one of my AT4040s is intermittently making popping noises. It's been like this for almost a year, but it's getting worse. This means that one of my AT4040s is damaged, but also one of my rode mics and one ear of the binaurals. That's not good. This has accumulated over the last 8 years. I know what I need to replace for the rodes but that issue spontaneously resolved. It may be a reaction to breathing and that's why it's not being triggered. I've known about this for over a year and didn't buy the part I needed. The AT and the Rode mics seem to be having the same issue. It's not that I've had a lot of bad luck with tech lately (I have), it's more so that I've been neglecting upkeep and a lot of the triggers we use have a chance of damaging it. I'll keep going until I can replace or repair the AT as that's the most urgent. The issue with the AT 4040 began right after I recorded my colour changing match video. I could have damaged it from the heat. 

So either please forgive it if you hear the popping. I'll keep you updated and hope for the best.
