this is gonna be interesting - in theory the larger diaphragms of the at's will capture more low-mid/bass than the rodes (which you noted as sounding tinny), as the small diaphragms are more suited for capturing higher frequencies

ok i wasn't entirely correct - technically the small diaphragms are more suited for an even frequency response - but the larger diaphragm can shape the sound in a more pleasing way, so they actually emphasize lower frequencies

Very cool shootout. Both mics sound great and it's hard to pick which one sounds better. They definitely have their own voicings. But I definitely like the comparisons
