As you climb the hill and peer into the distance, you notice a dark mass. It looks like an abandoned keep but you won't know until you get closer. The trek is long and tiring through the pines and you're looking forward to a dry place to rest your head for the night. Approaching the front gate, you see nothing but darkness so you light a torch and venture in. The cold has crept into your bones and you can feel the dampness on your skin. It's so dark, even by torchlight, that you can hardly see a thing. As you make your way through the hallway you hear an echoing clank. It's unnerving but you want to see what it is. Just then, the torch is knocked from your hand and you are thrown to your back! You can feel slicing across your exposed flesh and severe pinching on your legs and wrists as you're held down and struggling to get to your feet! In the dim light from the torch you can see the stony exoskeleton of a Jugger Beetle and you know that you're in for a fight!
