Giant Killer UPDATE: Tier now gets an extra Deluxe miniature!! (Patreon)

Starting April 1st!

Giant Killers will NOW receive everything from the previous level plus:

  • ​an Extra Deluxe (large-sized) miniature (2 Deluxe miniatures total!!!)
  • an Epic-Sized model kit.

Well, I'm happy that Giant Killers are getting an extra bonus -- it is an expensive tier level. I won't switch up from my Monster Hunter level but, I'll probably still end up spending the difference easily between the store, monsters sets of the week, and (quite probably) that other Patreon (should it start sooner or later).

Is there any way to change tiers without losing our early backer bonus? I'd be interested in upgrading, but $10 a month is a pretty sweet deal.

I would gladly pay the extra to move from monster hunter to giant killer if more $25 slots opened up.

I also cant justify $35, especially since the creatures are just too large to print them with decent quality within my working hours. However, I would pay more to get more mini and mid-sized creatures....

This is great for the Giant Killer, and I agree that they need additional incentive for this expensive tier, but this is a real problem for the Monster Hunter level. I will not join the Giant Killer, too expensive and I cannot even print the epic models with my printer. When it happens for the first time that I get a large monster in the Monster Hunter that I don't like and the Giant Killer gets a large Monster I would have liked, I'm gone.

By adding an additional monster to the monster pack at all tiers and an additional deluxe at the Giant Killer tier, we are keeping it fair for everyone at the price they are paying. I hope you stay to enjoy the monsters and the interaction with your fellow patrons but I can’t force you to. If I had known this when I had the chance to get in to giant killer for $25 I would have probably chosen to go for it but I choose the Monster hunter instead because I realized that I probably wouldn't be printing a lot of gargantuan creatures and if one came out that I had to have I would just buy it in your store. But even with an extra monster $35 is just out of my price range. I wish you would add this monster to monster hunter as well since I know I'm gonna be upset someday when the large monster I get is not as nice as the one in the giant killer pledge Now if you would lower the price of giant killer back to $25 even for a day I would go up to that amount. Just my 2 cents Thanks

We didnt know either Lisa. What we did do for the Monster Hunter tier is keep the increases from $10 to $12 to $15 unlike the Giant Killer level where it went from $25 to $30 to $35. Which felt it needed compensation for that larger gap. We were going to go from $10 to $15 to $20 but didnt feel the value was there for Monster Hunter, but if we did we would have added another miniature to compensate. Were just trying our best to make all tiers as even as possible. It will never please everyone, but we hope that it will be the to the best percentage this way.

Honestly... I'm fine with it. I've I see a $25 slot open up, I might grab it and consider it luck. Don't get me wrong, those EPIC modules are PRETTY SWEET and, sooner or later, I'll pick the odd one up. I know at the start of the month, they offered up a 20% coupon for a week or so. I took advantage of it and picked up a few things that way. Maybe they'll so again in subsequent months. Or maybe not since they do give a 40% couple for the new weekly sets. Certainly willing to spend the extra $$$ in stores to get the things I really want. :)

As a new Giant Killer, I'll be honest I sort of balked a the price point but this makes it much better value. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I would still like the epic model provided as an all in one option that i can scale the size the size and try printing with supports. ... yes i know this would be an unsupported application, and it might vary slightly from the kit version.

Makes me really not want to give my $25 spot up now. Thanks RPG, I'll be stuck in this patreon for awhile now. Can't wait for the rest of Tilescape 2.0 and the terrain Patreon.
