I loved that you ended with Stefan Zweig’s reflections about old Vienna. And I supposed it would have killed the vibe, but I think it is worth mentioning that Zweig was Jewish, and despite having successfully escaped Europe to Brazil, he killed himself in 1942.

Great reading of GBH, guys. It will make my first rewatch really special. Gotta say I felt the dismissiveness Will spoke of in French Dispatch's middle chapter, and all three chapters had a touch of cop sympathy, which I found odd. I'm still wanting to see more from the filmmaker who showed me and my kid brother a new Bill Murray, one who wore budweiser swimming trunks and cannonballed to the pool bottom to stay; a filmmaker who helped me believe in love. A filmmaker truly fantastic.
