Listening to this after watching The Larry Sanders show, where a popular talk show host is pushed out for the "younger and hipper" Jon Stewart( who really is not that younger than the fictional host)...the thing I could never get around is why anyone would think Stewart had the appeal, persona and charisma to be a broad based talk show host...he does not even do a good job playing himself on the show, nor in the talk show bits...what it shows is that Stewart worka best as a niche figure, one wbo appeals to a small niche...but would obviously would never work as a broad based figure...his persona worked because it only able had to appeal to a small group...never a broad based talk show...or the presidency

I've heard people say that Trevor Noah gets higher ratings on other podcasts, but whenever I try to google it to confirm, I can't find any proof and actually find a lot of articles that seem to say the opposite. So I don't know what to make of it
