Rob, a colorful cyclops who makes a brief appearance in S1E1 of The Amazing World of Gumball, is quietly written off of the show and condemned to a void world of endless static. But in a strange twist of fate, Rob fights his way back into the show. Now a disfigured low-polygon version of his former self, Rob is the only denizen of Elmore who understands what will happen if the show gets cancelled, and goes to increasingly extreme lengths to avert the apocalypse. I won't pretend it's a smart show, but the boys know how to overinterpret kids' entertainment.
