It's just occurred to me that amongst its many sins, 'Love Actually' tried to romanticise airports in 2003 when airport security was at its most oppressive post-9/11. I hate this movie so much.

I’ve managed to never see it so I’m excited to learn about it via Michael and Us lens!

I'll refrain from shit-talking the leader in the polls currently, but "I'm Not There" is a film that deserves an episode more than most any other film. It does everything right that "Across the Universe" - its evil twin, released in the same year - did wrong. Todd Haynes/Ed Lachman's canny at depicting these eras of art/culture is unparalleled, fastidiously connecting the dots between Dylan and his influences/all that he influenced and creating perhaps the only legitimately good music biopic - all without mentioning Dylan's name once. I encourage everyone to rally together and trounce upon the other candidate. If you won't take my word for it, take it from da god, J. Hoberman: https://www.villagevoice.com/2007/11/13/like-a-complete-unknown-im-not-there-and-the-changing-face-of-bob-dylan-on-film/
