Warrendale (1967): A landmark documentary from the greatest Canadian filmmaker, Allan King, about a treatment centre for mentally unwell children, set-up by Beaches-Woodbine's future NDP MPP, John Brown. The town was set up in Etobicoke land eventually shuttered because of Brown's associations with the NDP. The centre, as depicted in the documentary however, was instrumental in helping children otherwise deemed "unreachable", using tactics that today still seem radical and unheard of. Jean Renoir also deemed the film a masterpiece, so there's that also. An incredible film and a great means for discussing Canadian history of the recent past.

Pretty Woman (1990): admittedly not the most obvious pick for the pod, but made three years after 'Wall Street', it's all about redeeming capitalism--first through the glorification of wealth (fancy hotels! shopping sprees!), and then through the B plot, where Richard Gere's character become a nicer, more paternalist capitalist by *building* things rather than destroying them. And of course prostitution, the oldest and most exploitative financial transaction in the world, results in happiness. I just want to see Luke and Will tear this beloved rom com to pieces--give it the ole 'You've Got Mail' treatment.

Actually never seen this movie, but hate it anyway! Great choice.
