For example, according to Nick Turse's research, during Operation Speedy Express. a My Lai-style massacre occurred once a month for over a year (leaving aside artillery and aerial bombings). Obviously not every conscripted soldier participated in a massacre, but plenty directly did or provided support to others who did.
