To the Meathead using dumbbells - look up Renaissance Periodization's dumbbell/at-home workout guides and youtube videos. The main advantage of a gym is that you can always increase the weight you're lifting, at home you're more limited so you have to progress your workouts through other means - and you have to do more "difficult" versions of lifts. At a gym, you can squat 5 reps with a lot of weight for a few sets and mostly be done with legs for the day - at home, you first might have to do squat variation that targets your quads more directly (like elevating your heels and bringing your feet together) or you might have to do a unilateral variation like a split-squat to increase the perceived weight on the muscle. And then, rather than progressing via weight like at a gym, you have to progress by increasing reps, and/or sets, and/or reducing rest time, and/or progressing to a more difficult variation of the lift. Also, just sack up and lift some weights.
