Since he's been a character in two of our recent movies and we told our story about him, figured I'd share the editorial I commissioned from him for The Varsity back in 2010. 

The paper's web archives from that time no longer have images or bylines, but you can read the full text here. Suffice it to say that I expected something very different from what I got - and what I got was incredible.

Poor Woody deserves a good movie featured on the cast.

Woody shot a movie (Wilson) in our neighborhood a few years ago. Our local coffee shop served as the place where the Laura Dern character worked and it was right across the street from a pet grooming place with a sign that read "Over 1,000,000 butts washed". On at least three different occasions I biked or walked by this corner with Woody taking a photo of the sign while laughing out loud and saying something about pet ass. On the last time a kid from the neighborhood asked him "hey, are you that famous actor?" And woody said "yeah, I'm that famous actor" and they fist bumped and woody asked the kid if he saw the butt sign.
