Sanders v. Warren?  Fuggedaboutit. On this episode, we revisit a primary season bloodfight of yore by watching the January 21, 2008 Democratic Party debate between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton (oh, and John Edwards is in there too). We reflect on their bitter primary battle, noting how their feud was both more vicious and less substantive than the ones dominating the current race. PLUS: Hillary's comments about Bernie, the myth of the Sanders-aligned non-voter, and a fond farewell to the great Terry Jones.

Also, her “career politician” line , I think, means ‘Bernie relies on his senate pay check for an income’. She despises him for making that his sole career and not being wily/savvy enough like her and her friends to participate in the generalized soft corruption by parlaying his political career into revenue-generating side hustles like Wall Street speeches, bogus foundations and Hulu series. It’s pathetic to her that he relies on that job to live on; that to her is a ‘career politician’... so imagine how she regards the mass of regular job-reliant people who weren’t her senate colleagues.
