The internet - what a concept! On this special Extremely Online episode, we look back on the cyberspace of our youth, and also consider how the modern-day internet has fostered celebrity within niches within niches within subcultures. To illustrate the latter point, we consider OUT AND ABOUT THE MOVIE 2: LAS VEGAS ADVENTURE (2019), a new feature film by some of our favourite YouTubers. PLUS: reflections on such peculiar web-based phenomena as the Nostalgia Critic and the Space Jam website.

Hahaha, oh this brought up suppressed and weird memories. I also used to watch this Nostalgia Critic (and Chick), way more than is proabably healthy. I even watched some of these godawful annual attempts at movies, with 20-30 internet weirdos making a movie in like a conference centre or something. I can barely remember any of it, which just tells you how much time it is possible to waste on internet content. I wouldn't be as harsh about NC as Will is, if only for the simple reason that I at least thought some of this stuff was funny when I was 19-20, thereabouts. You guys should definitely explore this avenue further. A guy I used to watch A LOT when I was 16-18 was The Amazing Atheist, who I still think is going strong. That guy is a rancid reactionary asshole like most of those internet atheists these days I think. There's plenty to examine about early Youtube celebs.
