Hey it’s me far in the future! Luke there was already a Conan remake it was in 2011. It flopped pretty bad. Budget of $90m and box office of $63.5m. Doing the Mike and Jay back of the napkin double the budget for marketing the movie lost of around $120m. So, that’s probably why you forgot about it. The wiki article in fact has the following sentence “The film was a box office bomb and received largely negative reviews.”
