Messrs. Savage & Sloan will always be our Alpha Viewers.

As someone who listened to the West Wing Thing twice, I really appreciate these episodes. That story about Sorkin and the sex worker is crazy. Josh and Dave suspected he had some real life experience trying to "save" a prostitute but I don't think they uncovered this story

Been a listener/patron for about 4 years. I can’t express how intensely I respect both of you guys and love the show, but I feel like the show has been getting a little bit less engaging in the last couple of years. I feel like this series has genuinely given you guys a real spark again. Especially love the length and that most of it is dedicated to the stuff you’ve mutually watched. I understand and love the investment in personal/global updates, but it has become more the focus over the material you’ve watched for the episode. Respectfully, the episode lengths have also slowly nearly halved over the years and I’ve really not cared for that, especially as someone who contributes monthly. But not to focus on the negatives. I’m genuinely elated at the strength of this new series. I speak for Michael and Us nation when I say PLEASE consider this as a possible new model for future episodes. It’s always exciting to have something you love get a new kick. Also, Apple Podcasts no longer has the first 15 episodes of the show. Did you guys notice this?

In a previous 'Studio 60' episode, the boys reflected on the lack of books and other high-profile retrospectives involving the show (relative to 'The West Wing' and other Sorkin creations), and while I do not have a book to share, I do have this astonishing Grantland article, which opens with the following sentence: "The pilot episode of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is the greatest first episode of television ever made (for a show that only made it one season — THANKS, 30 ROCK). Sometimes I think it might be my all-time favorite episode of television." I can only imagine the fun the boys would have with this: https://grantland.com/hollywood-prospectus/bragging-rights-the-studio-60-on-the-sunset-strip-pilot-episode/
