Felicia gets 1 demerit point for creating a Fist that is that easy to hack (without intervention from Serafina). ;) Cool that a laser works that well against a demon, since it's a light-based weapon. And if Abigail died once (offscreen) from radiation poisoning, then how come the baby lived? A bit strange, that.

I dont actually remember it saying she died of radiation the only one that died i thought was irene. Could be worng though.

I remember her saying that but no actual deaths happening. Figured Sam just healed them because when he got back to apartment he was talking about deradiating them? Might just have to reread the last 4 chapters to double check myself lol

So does Alex retain all his memories from his previous life even as a baby? Can’t imagine Abigail dealing with that. He’ll already be married! I know Rene kept his for the most part but he had an abusive childhood and I presume Alex had a relatively normal life up until he was sent to hell.

I'd assume it would be more like a sudden recollection, similar to MM. Being born with full memory didn't do Alia any good, and I'd imagine it wouldn't go better for Alex. I can see the conversation looking back once he regained his memory: "No wonder he was always making deals with the other kids and never had to do his own homework..."

More than enough - Both know Miles, Melody knows Sam, the Winged Horn...Sam's story just takes place, so far, about 20-ish years earlier...The General is concurrent with SS. I suspect that the timeline for Kit and Lily to port to Sam's world is rapidly converging - exciting times!

Open question to that - there was an empire vs empire war brewing at the end of FF3...and now he's in SS...is SS the same world just far into the future? Did Something bad happen to Alex and his family which landed them here instead? Both? I mean, this all sounds like "the Silent One's" world the way Leah/Amelia described it to Alex...did his push for modernization lead to the world that Sam and Gus now exist in? (no mention of other races in FF...) Sooo many questions!

Kinda confused about the fist. I don’t recall in ssos2 anyone mentioning the fist was not recovered. I just assumed that the fist monument was the original?

I assume it has to be after they leave Wal because that was the only time they abandoned their facilities. This book is post SSoSH3 so that could be when it happened.

So did anyone else notice the other Fostering Faust name drop? “She needed a place to raise her daughter anyways. We’ll all be due around the same time. Apparently she’s going to name her baby Anna.” Not saying it is in reference to our favourite countess Anna ‘she’s made examples’ Brit but you never know. Perhaps this is how the whole gang ends up in that plane?

Just reread inc inc and I may have noticed another cameo. When Sam and the gang go though the portal to the higher planes they meet a voice who says. “That’s a good point. It’d be a lot like attempting to explain court politics to… a farmer,” said the woman. “Maybe the farmer could surprise you though… maybe… maybe he could… surprise everyone.” Claire from dungeon deposed perhaps?
