Book is en route to the editor. Here's hoping it comes back soon. Beta is over.

Some beta reader stats because people asked, and why I'm always mildly concerned about beta readers.

The book was divided into three pieces and people were required to notate each file to move to the next.

This was done to prevent people from simply getting a "free book" which has happened in the past.

Invited: 30
File 1: 22(accepted and started)
File 2: 12(left comments in file 1)
FIle 3: 8(Left comments in file 2)

So... out of 30... 8 finished.

Slow readers? Did they at least comment where they did finish?

Forrest Williamson

Congrats on getting it finished and to the publishers! Sorry to hear about the low turn out though.

I'm not trying to point anyone out, or shame them. This was meant only in an informative way. :) People had been curious about the process and results, and I provided information. Life happens.

Definitely looking forward to release and looking forward to you next round of beta readers and hope I get a bit more lucky.

I'm living in an author's paradise...... Sell my books once or twice, now I'm living in an author's paradise.....

WilliamDArand

Have I mentioned I've read Daniel's works and I truly enjoy his story telling? We disagree on MCs, but that's normal :)

I completed the first file. Main issue I had was that Google Docs is not super accessible via phone/tablet while traveling for the holiday. Wish I could have given more feedback. :(

From beta reading WW2 there were practically three kinds of B-readers: ones who just read, ones who read then place one or two notes just to keep going, and the ones who comment too much. XD Seriously, some of my comments were more or less simple brain farts.

I know what you mean, beta reading is a privilege so I hope next time I'll get a chance. It's fun to be able to see the writing process in action and I really enjoyed being a beta reader when I've had the opportunity in the past.
