Hey Ed: This is a very nice video... I can see the little run off ditches around the greenery. Feels cool already. Way back (when I was an unskilled arborist!) I worked 2 seasons for an apple orchard and used a Florian lopper, yours looks similar. Theirs were heavy handled, longer with red and green handles. the green handle I would move the jaws to full open til I heard a click, then place the anvil with a hook on the limb, steady easy ratcheting only the green (go) handle back and forth, the full swing would cut 8mm in green hardwood. Ratchet again & again and it'll cut with ease. No slamming required. Might cut up to 60mm.
