I can't help but admire how great it is when a group of people voluntarily do something to benefit the entire community. You would be hardpressed before you could see something like this in my country. Granted, you would never see me doing stuff like this, because I would have to do it alone - most people fend for themselves. This is why Japan is such a unique place: they think about the wellbeing of others first. Such an alien concept in western societies! It would do us all miracles if we learned to see different things from other peoples' points of view. Broadening the mind helps us see different angles and stories, which we otherwise would've ignored. It helps us understand our world better! While some of their ways and habits can be harmful, it also generates behavior like this, which in my mind is simply wonderful. Hopefully future generations hold on to this type of behavior!
