Good morning.

The release of the 0.2 version of The Apothecary is now live and ready for download and play. This release is free, and is being posted on Mega, Mediafire, and Gofile. You can find these downloads at the nominal f95zone page and the Mega links are on the main Patreon page right at the top.

So yeah, there's an Android version now. Be aware this isn't fully tested by myself, but I have had a lot of help from V4ampire to get it looking at least somewhat okay... that's what I'm told anyway. I plan on getting an old Android phone later to test it myself. Going forward, I plan on releasing official Android versions alongside the Windows/LINUX and MAC versions.

Check the previous post for the changelog. It's called 0.2a to differentiate itself from the very-slightly-buggy 0.2 original. If you run into any errors or bugs please let me know, either here or on Discord.

The Discord is pretty chatty, so feel free to drop by and see what is going on.

Heyo, I finished all the current events so far, which were a decent amount for a 0.2 release, and I really enjoyed the characters and setting, but also the multiple kinks explored. Current favorites are definitely Genny and Lerran, but I'm honestly also looking forward to scenes with Alisandra. The lewder, the better in my opinion, so if you continue as you already have and maybe even go a few steps further, it should turn out just right. I'm certainly hoping to see some great content coming from you. Also nice, you actually sensibly internally limited the need for grinding with the item limit, though maybe the forage plants could also have seeds for the garden soon and when selling stuff it should maybe ask a specific number instead or maybe add an option to sell 1 of every plant, so it doesn't create too much of an imbalance with the materials. As for what to buy off of Horace, besides maybe special costumes for the girls, she could probably also sell sex toys that allow for more kink content, like special dildos or even strap-ons. Also hoping the potions will eventually allow for some kind of character customization, at least maybe temporary, but a permanent one would also be great, would require a lot more work though. What comes to mind here would be something like additional futa potions, sperm hyperproduction for MC and futas, making the girls suddenly grow massive amounts pubic and armpit hair or a diuretics potion for that kind of play. That all obviously depends on feasibility and interest of both future supporters and you as the dev, but at least I mentioned some of them I'd have some personal interest in. Hint system is quite good, maybe it could mention the exact time and location in some cases. I sadly also experienced regular crashes when rolling back and visiting other places on the map, but most of them resolved by simply clicking other buttons before traveling, but maybe you could take a look at that for future.

Thank you very much for the feedback. It will definitely get lewder as the game goes on. You will be able to get seeds with harvesting/hunting for wild ingredients in the next update. That was always planned. The trading and gardening interfaces will move away from choice-driven menus and into actual GUI interfaces that will have a lot more options, including selling individual plants, items, etc. It just wasn't possible with my little coding knowledge to get it done and have a timely 0.2 release. It'll be there soon. There will be some character customization options eventually available -- one particular potion is going to have some extreme effects, and other potions will lead to some very interesting situations. The overall idea of the game isn't based so much on doing the potions -- as this is my first game of trying to really do everything, I've made sure this is a learning experience first and foremost. The main thing to keep in mind is that The Apothecary is designed to be rather short compared to other games. There's a definite ending in mind and it will work towards that. However, this is just the first story in a much longer tale, and the same kind of characters (and sometimes the same characters) will show up in later games. The themes and much of the setting and history is going to be present in all the stories -- for example half-elves mostly being futa (if the player chooses to play with futas). There are many more bits of setting and lore that will come out in The Apothecary and others. Crashes come from that lack of knowledge and probably using a lot more code than I actually need. Hopefully I will get better as time goes on. :) Thank you for your support. It has really made the end of this week feel good.
