As I said, last week was incredibly hot, so I was unable to do much work on the PC. I did do a lot of thinking for the new UI System and I’ve decided I want it to work for both PC and mobile, so that is officially back on the table.

I decided to stick to a simple design logic: everything on the top half of the screen is “passive” information, which you cannot interact with. Everything at the bottom of the screen will be interact-able. This means it should be easy to play as you won’t have to reach very far up the screen to access all the buttons.

I decided to emulate a top bar for all the passive info, which you can see in the preview image. It’s simple, clean, and gets the job done. I still need to fit in the energy UI somehow, but since that is still being designed, it has been left out for now.

One other thing I will be focusing on a lot is the design for buying stuff. Of course things will not be free in the actual game! You will have to work to upgrade your character to your desired look. My next design focus will be trying to get a grasp on how I can translate that to the game.
