Thank you all for the detailed feedback on my question regarding narrative. There was a clear and overwhelming support in favor of continuing to have story drive the smut and I'm taking it to heart. I'll continue with storytelling and stick to C6 and d6 for the foreseeable future, though I definitely want to heed some of the advice to plan the arc out better.

For what it's worth, I had a very clear plan coming into it, then... kinda discarded it and changed directions. Again. And again. And again. Oi. Sorry for the poor quality of writing there. I'm going to do my best to course correct C6 as best as I can.
