Heads up: I didn't include either the thank you at the bottom because it just seemed kinda wrong to add that to a strip that's basically the 'all is lost' moment in the story. I left off the logo too because it just seems inappropriate to what's happening here.

This strip was a disaster. The last few months of my life have been a disaster for that matter, and the loooooooooooong gap without an update was inexcusable, despite it all. I will resume my weekly update schedule from here-on and am truly thankful to y'all who didn't drop your patronage (even though you had every right to).

I won't post another long pity-party here to excuse my lack of performance. Y'all have heard enough of those. This is my job. If I didn't show up for my previous job, I'd have been fired and this is no different. Love y'all and see y'all with a new update within the week.

This turned out epic. This is the perfect “less is more” moment - the extra panels that were giving you so much trouble would have looked great too, but reducing it to a single panel that’s “in the moment” just *nails* it. Sometimes art will refuse to be rushed.

Looks great! Don't forget you can take a break with side comics occasionally too.

Remember what we've told you: take as much time as you need to on all these pages. Your own health and mental wellbeing are super important too, so please try to keep that fact in mind there! And I will continue to support you here... Don't forget it, okay? And this comic certainly sums up what is happening here well: Trina and Michelle both almost completely under Blackstone's control now (but too worn out to even put effort into resisting what's happening), with Blackstone savoring every single second of it. Of course, her current run of good fortune could be about to take a major nosedive soon! I'm also reminded now of a certain quote, one which comes from The Legend of Korra: "When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change"... Maybe this could be something which allows some of our heroes to work out how to turn things around?

The colors and emotions read through clear, and I will agree with the less-is-more approach when we're in such a dark moment of the story arc. I think a nice break to work on happier things can give you the space to build a plan that you like for how the "inherent wrongness" might spark a few cracks in this plot structure and help you accelerate it to a conclusion that feels satisfying. I will say that the detail, the colors, the expressiveness and the gear have all been stunning high-points that I hope can carry forward into happier times, and here's hoping this year ahead will let you pull things to a place you feel invigorated by! :D
