So, the mother boxes didn't wake up because they were afraid of Superman - so in the several millenia they were here before Superman showed up, what stopped them waking up then? I did enjoy the movie though.

I thought I was going mad, seeing all the glowing reviews for the film, even from YouTube critics I thought would be more measured about it, and I wondered how come I didn't feel like they did, if something was wrong with me. Glad to hear some actual criticisms. A lot of people will be grumpy with Mason, but I almost want to forgive Maso for Lion King now lol. I liked not loved this cut.

That's what I was thinking too. I'm assuming they would have explained it in future films but obviously some of the champions of the Age of Heroes were still around i.e. Ares, Atlan, the Kryptonian from the scoutship, maybe Abin Sur, but the Old Gods were at least present up until WW1

Maso, I'm a big fan of your witty commentary but your Snyder cut chit chat has left me flummoxed. Every action scene is pound for pound ten times better. And a lot of the rubbish plot from the 2017 version never makes an appearance, like Batman figuring out there are motherboxes by examining a dead parademon. Just so many dumb things, almost each and every one excised to a T.
